We discuss a research-based, computerized curriculum in Arabic. Learning of Arabic language for native non-specialists at the college level is presented as one module of this curriculum. Computer simulation of communicative and structural Arabic are intended to facilitate metacognitive learning or higher order thinking of Arabic language learning strategies.
